The Trip
Nine Days.
Alta to Heaven
and back.
Our Way: A private group of four friends living on a working Sami farm. Fresh cod and king crab from Tommy, daily bread from Ingrid, and a private boat dedicated solely to our ski objectives. Higher flexibility, unmatched cultural connection, and significantly lower overhead costs passed directly to you.
The Itinerary
Day by day
Arrival in Alta
No stress. Your guide will meet you at the airport and arrange transport to your hotel. Travel is tiring and sometimes delayed — this day is yours to rest and get ready for what lies ahead.
Day 1
Alta — Provisions & the Ferry
The morning is for food shopping. You will be cooking all your own meals on the island, so this is your chance to stock up exactly as you like. There is time to explore the village of Alta and visit the Alta Museum — a World Heritage rock art centre and home to some of the oldest rock carvings of skiers in the world. In the afternoon, we catch the ferry to Seiland and settle into the island house.
Days 2–8
Seven Days of Skiing
Seven full days of skiing. Each morning we walk down to our boat and get dropped off where the skiing is best. Your IFMGA guide leads the day. Evenings back at the house — cook, eat, hot tub, sleep.
Day 8
Return to Alta
We return to Alta after seven nights on the island. We will help you organise your arrival and departure flights to work with the ferry schedule for your particular dates.

Getting There
Fly to Alta (ALF) , flights connect from Oslo and Tromso. There are rental cars available one way from Tromso. It is a one hour ferry ride from Tromso to Seiland.
Skill Level
Most of our trips are private groups and any ability level is fine. If the group is lower ability, that is not a problem — there are fantastic tours right outside the door that anyone can do.
For beginners or intermediates this is the perfect place to hone your skills. For expert skiers the sky is the limit. The area is famous for its steep skiing. There are endless steep runs and couloirs.
In the event that we mix a group we will only put together skiers of similar ability and aspirations.
Group Size
Maximum 4 guests. Most trips are groups of four friends. Couples and pairs of friends welcome. Contact us if you're a group of 2 or 3.
